Contacts Converter ("we", "our", or "the App") is developed by GA App. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

    Key Point: Your contact data is processed locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your contacts on our servers.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Contact Data (On-Device Only)

The App accesses your device's address book to provide its core functionality: exporting, importing, converting, and cleaning up contacts. This includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, and company information.

This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Google Account Data (Optional)

If you use the "Sync to Google Contacts" feature, you will be asked to sign in with your Google Account. The App requests access to the contacts scope to create contacts in your Google account. Your Google credentials are handled by Google's Sign-In SDK and are never stored by us. Contact data is sent directly from your device to Google's People API.

1.3 Purchase Information

When you make an in-app purchase, transaction data (product ID, purchase date, transaction ID) is processed by Apple's StoreKit and our payment partner RevenueCat. We store a record of purchases in Apple's CloudKit to support purchase verification and analytics.

1.4 Device and Usage Data

Third-party services integrated into the App may collect device identifiers, usage statistics, and advertising data as described below.

3. Advertising and Tracking

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. On iOS 14 and later, the App will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before using your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. You may decline, and the App will function normally with non-personalized ads.

4. Data Storage

4.1 On-Device Storage

Keychain: Processing count limits (persists across app reinstalls)
UserDefaults: App preferences, VIP status, settings
Local files: Exported files (Excel, CSV, PDF, vCard) are saved to the app's Documents directory on your device

4.2 Cloud Storage

Apple CloudKit: Purchase records and app configuration data stored in Apple's cloud infrastructure

5. How We Use Your Information

To provide the core functionality of converting, exporting, importing, and cleaning contacts
To sync contacts to Google Contacts when you opt in
To manage in-app purchases and verify subscription status
To display advertisements
To improve the App and user experience

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Third-party services listed above, strictly for the purposes described
Google People API, only when you explicitly initiate a contact sync
Law enforcement, if required by applicable law

7. Data Retention

Contact data: Not retained — processed in memory and discarded after export/import
Exported files: Stored locally until you delete them
Purchase records: Retained in CloudKit for the lifetime of your account
Keychain data: Persists until you reset the device

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your data (uninstalling the App removes all local data; Keychain data persists but can be cleared via device reset)
Revoke contact access permissions via iOS Settings > Privacy > Contacts
Revoke Google account access at Google Account Permissions
Opt out of ad tracking via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including iOS Keychain for sensitive storage and HTTPS for all network communications. Contact data is processed locally and never transmitted to our servers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated effective date.
